Third day in Spain, second half. I have seen Mediterranean sea before for several times but i don't quite remember how many times i have seen. It was first time when I traveled along the Mediterranean coast of South France with my parents 7 years ago. Second time, it was Straits of Gibraltar between Morocco and Spain. And this July again, traveling South France with my family. But I have never swum in the Mediterranean Sea.
Arriving at the coast later afternoon which isn't too bad time to start swimming. TOHRU, NOEL, and me. Stretching a bit and jump in to the water.
Seawater wasn't cold at the surface but cold at the bottom. As I was swimming in the gym on weekend, I could swim even at the deeper location for quite a while. Water was clean than expected and salty as expected. We swam until 19:00.
Now, we were hungry. once we got back to the hostel t meet up with all, we walked around to find a nice restaurant to pop-in. One restaurant was in the market, and what was surprising was that the market was actually designed by Enric Miralles. It was my first time to see his work. Architecture in the night. But the restaurant was full of people so we gave up queuing. Just 5 minutes of looking at his architecture was obviously not enough. So I will revenge next time.
The restaurant we found in the end was a part of piazza. All the food we ordered was absolutely delicious. Fresh and profound taste of all ingredients. Well, Spain became one of my favorite country of course.
スペイン旅行３日目後半。
地中海を見るのは何回目だろうか。初めて見たのは、、定かではないが７年前だろうか。両親ときた南仏旅行の時だった。２年前の年末のモロッコとスペインを繋ぐフェリーで渡ったジブラルタル海峡。地中海の西の端だった。次はイタリア、シチリア島のカターニアからみた地中海だった。そして７月再びの南仏で眺めた。しかし一度も地中海で泳いだ事がなかった。
海岸に到着。TOHRU、NOELと僕。準備運動も程々にジャンプイン。海水は水面に近い程暖かく、底に流れる水はとても冷たかった。普段ジムで泳いでるおかげで、結構深いところ迄泳いでいけた。しかも塩水だし浮きやすい。思っていたより水は綺麗だった。たっぷり夕方１９時くらい迄泳いだ。
泳いだ後は腹が減る。一度ホステルに戻ってJUN, ASKさんと合流。とあるレストランを目指して歩く。驚いた事に行こうと思っていたレストランはマーケットにあり、そのマーケットはエンリック・ミラーレスの近作だった。初めて目にした。夜の光景。レストランはしかし満杯なので諦め、別のレストランへ。５分くらいしか見られなかったのできちんとした建築鑑賞はまた今度の機会にじっくりと実現したい。
広場に面した小さなレストラン。頼むものすべてが美味しかった。スペインがすっかりお気に入りになった。
