It was last Friday that i was invited to have a dinner together with my friends, Charlotte, Chien and Lisa. So, as a part of this, today we went to London Mitsukoshi Restaurant at Piccadilly Circus. My father said that I can try rather reasonable lunch there but i hadn't been there since today, and both Charlotte and Chien do like Japanese food so that it was good opportunity (unfortunately Lisa went back to Taiwan yesterday for holidays). Well, the restaurant had an atmosphere of nostalgic Japanese restaurant like the one in the top floor of either department store in Japan. We had "Mitsukoshi Bento", "Iberico pork cutlet","Beef stake set (royal warrant beef)". Of course, nothing to say, they were good.
先週の金曜日、シャルロットとチェンのフラットにて久しぶりに食事をしたので、その会の延長でロンドン三越にランチにいってみた。父親に「三越で弁当が食べれるぞ」と前々から聞いていたし、２人は日本食大好きだからこれはいい機会だった。１２時三越前、そしてレストラン内へ。ああ、日本のデパート、最上階あたりのレストランの雰囲気にため息が出る。「三越弁当」「和風ビーフステーキ定食（英国王室も食されるビーフ使用）」「和風トンカツ定食（イベリコ）」。もちろんの事、美味しかったのであった。
After lunch we strolled around the centre. On the way, we surprisingly met M-chan. We all three know about her since we are here, so we popped into cafe. For the two, I asked to come to Argos to choose appliances together ashamedly,,,. Because it is quite difficult to choose the right one and Charlotte has overwhelming power to decide something without hesitation. I am indecisive… but they weren't. Just a few minutes. Actually, she was wondering for while whether she should buy a yoga mat ; ) And funny thing is that we are all architectural designers and never look at cheep plastic ones, but cool stainless ones ; ) Its tacit understanding.
食後３人でふらふらと散策した。途中、かなり久しぶりにMちゃんに会った。３人共の共通の知り合いだから驚いた。そのまま４人でお茶をした。その後２人にはアルゴスまで来てもらって、ケトルとトースターを一緒に選んでもらった。というのも種類が多すぎてどれにしたらいいかわからないそんな時に、シャルロットの決断力は重要なのである。さすがに早い、自分の好みも入れつつ２、３分で決定できた。関係ないかもしれないが３人とも建築デザインを専攻しているから、暗黙の了解でプラスチックのケトルには眼がいかなかった（理由省略）。ステンレスにしか眼がいかない。
オクスフォード・ストリートのクリスマスイルミネーションはもう準備が整っているようだ。リバティーもクリスマス関連の商品を売る部屋が設けられていて、ずらーっとグッズが並んでいた。
ちなみに、ロンドン三越ランチの次、次回のランチはあの中華の大御所「ロイヤル・チャイナ」に行く事になった。彼らが食べた中華料理の中で一番美味しいといっていたから本物だろう。きちんとした服着ていかないといけないのかもしれないのでちょっと緊張するな。
