I took Francisco to one of my favorite Japanese restaurant "Asakusa" at Mornington Crescent. Nigiri, and Maki sushi, yakitori, and tempura. We just had typical Japanese food there, in a way to secure my position hahaha, just in case he didn't like something. But he ate all. That was great. During the dinner, we were talking about next Olympic game host. Obviously, there were no chances for Tokyo, and Chicago, we expected, and what we were betting on Madrid or Rio. Rio was the one at the end. Thinking of Olympic game as a means to keep the balance of the world in terms of economical point of view. Hosting the Olympic game either in U.S., Tokyo, or Madrid will create more unbalance of the world. Rio was the best decision.
今週もまた無事に終わった。仕事終わり、フランシスコと予約していたASAKUSAへ、にぎり・巻き寿司、天ぷら、焼き鳥というかなり安全路線な選択をした。いくら日本大好きな、SANAA大好きなフランシスコであるといっても、ちょっと不安であった。でもすべてうまいといって食べた。日本食を食べにいくといつも緊張するが、今回は大丈夫のようであった。翌々のオリンピック開催地を決定する選考会の結果、どこがくるかなと２人で予想していたが、やはりリオデジャネイロに決定した。まあ東京もない、そして２回連続ヨーロッパでの開催もない。となるとシカゴかリオデ、オバマでシカゴがくるか、南米初でくるかだが、南米で開催されれば世界の色んな意味での均衡が保たれる。経済効果という面でいうとシカゴ、東京、マドリッドどこでやっても裕福な国が裕福になるばかりだから、そりゃそうだろうという話をしていた。福岡での開催を応援していた側なので、東京が外れた時は特に驚かなかった。
