The last holiday was, as it was expected, not good enough to go out, so i decided to stay at home quietly. The sky was covered with really heavy clouds, and was drizzling.
３連休最後の月曜日バンクホリデーは天気予報通りあまり思わしくない天気だったので、静かにしていようと家に留まった。久方ぶりに分厚い雲が空を覆って、小雨も降っている。
Preparing some Japanese rise crackers and roasted tea for private film watching. It was "Tony Takitani" by Jun Ichikawa, 2004 borrowed from Yuka. I haven't watched Japanese film for long time. It was just 75 minutes and short like the original short story written by Haruki Murakami. But this feeling was quite good i would say like the experience of reading short story. The feeling when you started to fall deep, the story ends unexpectedly. Camera was horizontally panning from left to right and fade out into kind a black massive thing, and slowly cutaway to next scene. This was like a moment we experience when we read novel from right to left, and we will found some spaces between lines, chapters, and leafing pages that softly disconnect the sequence. Good method to bring method of novel into video expression.
日本の醤油味煎餅と焙じ茶を用意して、Ｙちんにかりた「トニー滝谷」２００４年、市川準監督を鑑賞。日本の映画は久しぶりに見た。７５分と原作村上春樹の短編と同じように短かく、あっという間に終わってしまった。短編小説に入り込んで深みにはまり始めた頃に終わるあの感覚と似ている。映画の大半は左から右へとカメラが水平に移動して壁などの黒い塊へとフェードアウト（というのだろうか）して次の場面、次の場面へと低速に展開されていった。小説を右から左へと読み進んでいると、所々に行間、チャプターがあったり、ページをめくることで一瞬停止するあのリズム感覚がうまく映像表現として再現されていたと思う。
Japanese city landscape was not depicted as much as i thought. It was impressive to see blurred landscape behind the characters and stage sets. The reason that we see less city landscape in the film was because most of this film was taken at an open space like used as parking space. There was a wide artificial plain constructed in the space that changes depending on different scenes. Furnitures and walls were moving above the plain to construct makeshift stage which alters to house and room. It was interesting filming concept. Performance by Issey Ogata, and Rie Miyazawa were very good in terms of realinzing the characters in Haruki's novel which have strange tranquility in any situation happened. Which was good for me.
日本の都市風景は露骨に描写されていなかった。登場人物の背景にいつも中・遠景がぼやけて写されていたのが印象的だった。色んな都市風景が現れなかったというのも横浜のある空き地で、大半の収録をしたからのようだ。本編と同じ程に長いメイキング映像をみた。その空き地にある広さをもったステージが作られ、その上で壁や家具などが動いて家になったり、部屋になったりしていた。その撮影コンセプトが工夫されていて興味深かった。イッセー尾形と宮沢りえの演技は、春樹小説に登場する人物独特の妙な落ち着きと何が起こっても冷静さを保つあれに似ていた。個人的に文学空間をどうやって映像表現に持ち込むかという焦点でこのフィルム見た場合、メイキング映像に見られるような試行錯誤、実験的なところが良かった。方法の模索を実践・実戦で見せるのはナイスである。

From 6 at Angel meeting with my colleague who went back to Korea after our graduation. He is working for global major real estate business. he seems very busy recently travelling around world for his business. We often went to museum with our sketch books to sketch sculptures at weekends. We talked and discussed about our sketches and this was quite fun things to do. I wish if i can continue this kind of habit again.
夕方６時エンジェルにて、バートレット卒業後に韓国に帰国した同級と再会。グローバルな大手不動産でアシスタントマネージャを勤めている。韓国を拠点として世界中を飛び回る日々で多忙のようだ。思い出話に華が咲いた。彼とは毎週の様にスケッチブックをもって美術館・博物館に赴いた。お互いスケッチの被写体が違ったり、スケッチの方法が違ったりして、スケッチの後に批評し合ったり等、そういう議論がとても楽しかった。ああいう生活がまた再会できたらいいのにな。
