The David Chipperfield's office was quite near from where i live now in Camden town. I didn't know that. It was located on just a few minutes of walk from our accommodation. The office was in quite neighborhood, and it was like a residence. I'm sorry that i don't have any photos that i can show here, because taking photo in the office was prohibited.
The office was smaller than the other offices like Foster's and Roger's. The atmosphere in the office, it matched with the atmosphere of Chipperfield's architectures. The things attracted me in the office was high-precision models. The models were beautiful made of wood, metal and acrylic. And also I saw abundant experimental materials on the desk which I couldn't find in other 2 offices. Like matte-black steel, glass with intriguing optical effect, plastic like a toy and so on... And their kitchen. F and R used steel and glass. This is an impregnable iron rule. C is more experimental. I suppose that the people who works here probably required the sense of choosing materials and designing a detail more than a sense of creating form, as well as their enthusiasm. I wondered whether there are students who graduate The Bartlett and get a opportunity to work here... I think there aren't any...

デビッド・チッパーフィールド事務所は意外なことに、自分の住んでいる学生寮から徒歩数分の所にあった。事務所は住宅を改装した感じの様な風貌で、家庭的。チッパーフィールド事務所の写真は撮影禁止だったので、屋外からのしかありません。
事務所はフォスターやロジャーズのよりは規模が小さく、世界的といっても建築家の個人事務所的な仕事場の雰囲気があって、チッパーフィールドの建築の感じと似ている。印象的だったのは精度の高い綺麗な模型と、ＦとＲでは見れなかった豊富な実験的建築材料。黒くてマットな（色んな）鉄、不思議なエフェクトのあるガラス、過わったプラスチックやら。それにキッチン。RとＦは基本的に鉄とガラスが揺るがない鉄則。それに比べてＣは実験的。きっとここで働く所員は、形をつくりだすセンスよりも材料を選ぶセンスや、納まりを考える事に長けているんだろうと思った。バートレットを卒業した後、ここで働いている人達はいるんだろうか。。。いなさそうだ。

C office, you can see "barred lattice of bamboo" surrounding the site of the office. Is it his or not, i don't know, but We can see his architecture in Kyoto and if you go there you can see many barred lattice of bamboo used in traditional residence of Kyoto. May be he bought it in Kyoto before...
Ｃ事務所。敷地の囲いにすだれが使われているのが気になった。Ｃ事務所のなのか、それとも隣人のなのか不明ですが、京都でＣの建築が見れるからもしかしたら、その時買ってきたのかと深読み。。。
