And,,, there is another house just in front of the F.L. Wright-like house that i have written on previous diary. I think it is rare to have this kind of small house or i should say barn in UK, the size is likely designed in Japan. This house has an atmosphere like one of Kazunari Sakamoto's design. It seems to attempt to focus on generality in human life to augment those daily things to something more special or invaluable through architectural manipulation. I can see this experiment from the space between brick wall and wall of the house, design of door like handle, dimentional manipulation, window size, and interior that i can see from the window. I am not sure whether this is designed by an architect or not but at least there is a process of design development. I DON'T dislike but I dont too much like THEATRICAL way of using gable shape. It's kind a ,,, obvious. Well, finally i don't know yet by whom the house was designed.
で、前日の日記に書いたライト風の住宅の道路を隔てて丁度真向かいに、これはまた英国には珍しくかなり小さいサイズの住宅、あるいは小屋的なものがある。ぱっとみ坂本一成の建築と近い雰囲気を発しているような。人間の日常生活における当たり前の事に焦点をあてて、それを建築を通してより価値あるもの、一段ハイレベルに持ち上げようとするような態度が、屋根と煉瓦壁の間にできる裏口の隙間、扉の素材やハンドル、鍵穴の位置、板の割付などの寸法操作、コーナー窓の大きさ、納まり、窓を通して見える内装などそこかしこから垣間見られる。建築家によるのかどうかは知らないけれども、少なくともそういう路線に乗ってデザインを詰めていったプロセスが見える。嫌いではないけど、切り妻屋根だとか、故意的なのがちょっと好きじゃない。それに結局誰の設計なのかは解らずじまい。
