It seems that it was snowing all night long. When I woke up this morning, I could see snow was cutting across the gap between the curtains in my room. OH!! I was like a child when I realized it was kept snowing all night. The outside landscape was super minimal. Minimalism landscape. The timber bench was oddly, surrealistically isolated on the surface of snow ground. What a fantastic moment with this silence. It was because of the suspension and disruption of the public transportation. No one could go out to work or to school. Like this weather, I really like to go out and enjoy stepping on white snow ground that no one stepped before. I have to do that and thats my authority, hahaha. Not children. It was nice, nostalgic tactile. It took about an hour twice as much as i needed usually to get to the office on foot. Surprisingly, some of my colleagues were there already, but as expected, half of the colleagues were unable to make it. It was quite Monday.
雪はどうやら一晩中降り続いたようだ。目が覚めた時、カーテンの隙間から雪が勢いよく横切るのが見えた。はっ！と心が躍動しハラハラしながら外を見るとロンドンがミニマルな世界へと変わっていた。この規模の雪をロンドンが体験するのは２０年振りらしい。窓から見える広場に置かれた木のベンチが白い背景にぽつんと栄えてなんともシュールレアルな雰囲気が完成している。静かな朝はバス・電車とあらゆる交通機関が凍結したためだった。仕事も学校も休みになっているようだ。個人的にはこういう時には外に出たいので、しっかりブーツを履き防寒して早めに出勤した。誰もまだ足を踏み入れていない雪の上を歩くのである。はしゃぐ子供達が踏みつけてミシッという音が発せられる前に自分が踏まなければならない。久し振りの感触だった。癒し効果があるのは間違いないだろう。事務所に到着したのは１時間後、倍以上の時間を掛けて歩いた。僕のテーブル周辺の同僚達はすでに出勤していた。さすが設計事務所だなと感心していたが、やはり交通機関が動かなければ出勤は難しい。結果半分が来られず、静かな月曜日となった。
