I feel that I am facing to one of the important facet for people who are called "designer".

In the beginning, we have some kind of "idea" to develop, and think about "system" to make the "idea" meaningful, then "detailing" which make "system" work as "system". This is the process of "design". I just finished the stage of "idea", and thought about a little bit of "system", and right now, I am facing to the final stage of design "detailing" which I have to use full power of imagination and endurance. But actually, I am standingstill here with nothing. The tutor told me that it is time to run and bring here 100 of A1. haha, I though this kind of thing (too much A1) is just for WASEDA university of Architecture, but in fact, was not. Well, in fact, this means that he is telling me to create perfect world of myself. That is durable design for multiple point of views. This does not means "ambiguous", or "blurry", those are escaping from the points. Is it something visually beautiful? No, all tutors know abundant number of students work that are beautiful already. The tutors are looking for something new. Those eyes are most scary thing. The most scary advice from my tutor was "Be Don Quixote = be paranoia = push through ur belief." Creating nearly "perfect" world with "biased" obsession is very dangerous, scary, and difficult. But interesting. This week's PROVERB, "BE DON QUIXOTE AND DETAILING". I forgot my project for a while, and went to the Winy Maas' lecture one of organisers of MVRDV. Their books FARMAX KM3, they are not paranoiac... SMLXL as well, those are the principles of architectural design in global scale.

デザインをする人にとって最も重要な時期に直面している。

初めに何らかのアイデアがあって、アイデアが意味をなすためにシステムを考え、そのシステムがシステムとしてチャンと機能するためにディテールを考える。アイデアを練る段階が終わって、システムもある程度考えて、いざ個人の想像力と忍耐力が最も発揮されるディテールで、立ち往生している。チューターより「もう突っ走って良い、来週Ａ１、１００枚」の指令が出た。こっちのＡ１、１００枚は本当に１００枚である。早稲田だけじゃねえのだ…。枚数の指定はともかく、それだけ完璧な世界を作り上げてこいという意味である。それは多角的に見ても耐えうるデザイン。でも両義的で曖昧なのは、逃避的で駄目なのである。それに単にビジュアル的に綺麗だとか、そういうのは目が肥え過ぎているチューターには通用しない。この目は恐ろしい。そして最も恐ろしいのが「ドンキホーテになれ　＝　偏執しろ　＝　偏った考えを突き通せ」というアドバイス。偏った考えで、完璧な世界観をつくるこれはよっぽど妄想しなければ出来ない。今週の格言「ドンキホーテになってディテーリングしなさい。」自分のプロジェクトを忘れ、ＭＶＲＤＶのレクチャーへ。ＭＶＲＤＶの大著、ＦＡＲＭＡＸやＫＭ３は絶対、偏執的ではないよな〜。ＳＭＬＸＬと同様、世界の建築デザインの潮流をつくった原則である。
