The eve and the beginning of the year must be solemn and silent for me, every year. From 5th of January, I will start working in UK for the first time. I can not sit still. Even I try to calm myself down, I feel more nervous and uncomfortable. Fortunately or unfortunately, I've been sick for several days. So I have to stay in my room. I am not in good condition to go out now. Hope I can sleep until Sunday. I was stopping at Morocco, Fez labyrinthian city during the journey exactly a year ago. I like the moment when a city is covered with real silence after daily ostensible festivity for sightseers, the year became 2008 smoothly without any special events.

年末年始は厳かに、静粛に過ごしたいと思っています、毎年。５日からイギリス初の仕事が始まり、気が気ではありません。そういう気持ちを落ち着かせるために、どこにも行かず。家にいて押さえ込んでもどうしても気負い立ってハラハラしています。そんな中、運良くというか悪くというか、結構ヘビーな風邪を引いて寝込んでいます。このため今夜（３１日）は外に出たい気持ちで一杯ですが、ＰＬ錠を飲んで眠気とめまいに見舞われ、外出できる状態じゃありません。４日まで寝続けるつもりです。１年前の今頃、モロッコはフェズの大迷宮におりました。昼間観光客のための表向きに大にぎわいの街が、夜中になって静寂に包まれ、特別な行事もなにもなく、スムーズに２００８年にバトンタッチされたああいう感覚がいいですね。
