誕生日でした。

Today somehow it was my birthday. Friday, when we started to image weekend before evening, all my colleagues were gone from the office to somewhere, and I was asked to come to the meeting room. Surprise. Many cupcakes with my name on, message card, and a gift. Michal's message were actually written in Japanese and it made sense and writing was really like the one written by Japanese. A gift was a book, "Heavenly Vaults", which shows many vaults ceilings of the churches from different country and different era, and different structural approach. First time to see this book, and this is amazing. beautifully taken photos inside. After work, pub. Quiet night at home which is heaven.

今日は何気な誕生日でした。金曜日、仕事も終盤に差し掛かった頃、毎年の事、事務所から人が消え、突然にミーティングルームに呼び出しをくらうと、サプライズ。皆とケーキと、メッセージカード、プレゼントが待っている。すべてのカップケーキに僕の名前入り。みんなから一言のメッセージカード。今年はRIBAのカード。ミヒャエルのコメントが日本語で書いてありしかも字が綺麗で、意味もちゃんとあってて驚いた。プレゼントの本は良かった。「Heavenly Vaults」、世界中の教会のヴォールト天井を見上げて撮影し、国別、構造別などによってカテゴライズした本であった。初めて見た本だった。皆に感謝、同僚と会社に本当に恵まれている。仕事終わり皆でパブ。夜帰宅、静かに誕生日が終わる。
