Recently in Japan, I heard that electric kettles are getting popular among the people. In Britain, electric kettle is the most famous kitchen appliances for sure. We won't find any houses without kettle. This is quite convenient device for the country where we have at least twice or more cup of tea everyday. Btw, voltage between here and Japan is different. Japan is 100V and here is 220 - 240V which is much stronger. So obviously, it is much faster to make a cup of tea here in UK, rather than in Japan. For instance, maybe 45 seconds for a cup of hot water. Anyway, I saw the news on internet just after i arrived at my flat and finished dinner.
日本では最近になって電気ケトルのマーケットが拡大しているようだ。イギリスでは、家電といったらまず電気ケトルで、それほど一般化している。おそらく電気ケトルがない家などないだろう。これはティーを常飲するこの国では非常に便利なのだ。ところで日本の電圧とイギリスの電圧は違うから恐らくお湯を湧かす時間は圧倒的にイギリスの方が早いのだろう。日本の電圧は１００V、イギリスは２２０−２４０Vだ。紅茶一杯分のお湯なら、そうだな４５秒あれば湧くかな。まあどうでもいいけど、英語のレッスンが終わって２４時前に帰宅後、そんなニュースを読んだ。
