2nd of June. Today, very sunny day again that i can go out without any jackets. And again, we had new friend at office. A student from middle school. He was bantam and humble as well as the student here since yesterday. My boss will take care of student so i had to move my seat and he is going to sit there. Ordering samples, using photoshop, choosing right colour for flooring finish. Quite advanced task were giving to him but he had done it. When i was like his age, I never had touched anything like computers or other high-tech appliances. Well,, time have changed.
Sitting on Micheal's seat instead whom was out for business trip to France, i was suffering for different personalized desktop and Vectorworks setting. It took bit of time to get used to. I didn't get far with my work today : ) but its' ok.
６月２日になった。今日もまた気温高く、湿気無しのカラカラ気候。変化の月なのだ。ということで更に仕事環境が変わった。事務所に中学生がやってきた。小学生かと見違えるほど小柄で物静か、大人も顔負けの謙虚さだった。ボスのエミリーが面倒を見るので１日僕が席を移って変わりにそこに男の子が座った。サンプルを注文させたり、フォトショップを弄らせたり、床材の色を決定させたり。。。なかなか高等な事をやらせるのだ。僕がそんな年齢だった頃は、丁度アメリカにいて周りのみんながパソコンを自由に使えることに驚いた。パソコンなんてまだ触ったことがなかったから。時代は変わるのだね。
僕はフランス出張中のマイケルの椅子に座り、個人設定の異なるベクターワークスで苦戦した。マウスカーソルの動くスピードが違ってうまくクリックできない。他人がパーソナライズしたパソコンの異なるメニュー、ショートカット設定で仕事をすると全くはかどらないのは事実。まあでもいいのです、中学生が仕事経験できるなら。
