Wednesday. In the afternoon, we had a presentation from a company called Xella, the company which deals with architectural material. The introduced recommended new product which is a kind of board often compared with plasterboard, but much stronger and has water, sound resistance. This material is made of completely recycled materials which seems to be eco-friendly. We listened to the presentation at the same we are having lunch. So the sandwiches i made become dinner at this moment.
After working, I met my friend who was my previous flat mate originally from Pakistan. He decided to go back to his country for a moment, so I wanted to say good bye for now. At THE EARL OF CAMDEN. maybe we can meet in a few months when he came back here.
水曜日。午後一番に、パネルを生産する建築資材会社の人々が来社し、新商品のパネルをプレゼンしていった。一般受注が最も多いライバル商品、いわゆる「プラスターボード」を比較のために製品の横に並べ、いかに自社の製品が耐力・耐水性、サスティナブル性、防音・安全性能などに優れているかを説明していった。すべてリサイクルされたものでできたこのFERMACELLというボードはうちの事務所でも使っているらしい。取り付けの実演などもあって楽しかった。プレゼンを聞きながら皆ランチを食べる。これによって作ってきたサンドイッチが夜に回わった。夜、パキスタン人の元フラットメイトが母国に急遽帰国する決断をしたということで、最後にさよならの一言をいいにパブ THE EARL OF CAMDENへ。またロンドンに来るかも知れない数ヶ月後の再会をフレキシブルに約束した。
