It took less than 3 hours from London to Morocco, Marrakech. And if you buy the ticket before at a certain period, it will become very cheap. But this journey was decided just several days before we depart, so that it was a little bit expensive especially the ticket. This journey doesn't have specific schedule, in other words, no reservation for hotels and transportation, in addition, we are travelling during the year changing period Perhaps, we will face difficult to find the means of transportation. Well, as a result, it prove right.
ロンドンからモロッコまでは３時間もかからず本当に近い。それに事前チケットを買っておけば安い。でも今回は、この旅行を早い段階で決めたわけではなかったので、若干高かった。航空券はほぼ直前、ホテル、移動手段すべて何も予約無しの旅。それに年末年始をまたいでの旅行だから、おそらくホテル、移動手段共に思い通りにはいかないという予想はしていた。まあ、半分その不安は的中です。

We felt uneasy because we came to really enormous place when we were crossing over the Straits of Gibraltar by air. There was nothing except reddish soil that spread all over the earth and just a little herd of houses. Basically, no rails and roads were seen from high altitude here.
スペインのジブラルタル海峡を飛行機で南下して、モロッコ上空に差し掛かると、あーやべーとこ来ちゃったなあと２人で不安になった。何もない、ただ赤土の凸凹した地表があってずっと続いていて、そこに小さな街が若干点在して見えるだけで、あとは基本的に何もない。道が見えない。こんな所をたった５日くらいで横断できるのか。

After arriving at Marrakech airport, we hired a tax to go Medina, old part of the city. Many people are riding on motorcycles. What was astonishing was that some of the them have YSP Urayasu sticker on them. Stolen car? Or just used one like North korea import the used bicycles from Japan. Jama El Fna was crowded with many people. Street performers, monkey and cobra showman, and women who draw ornament called Henna on women's hand. Someone was loudly talking to the audiences. I don't know what is he saying about but that wasn't for the tourists. It was amenity for the native people here. Everyone was seriously listening to what the man says. We didn't have time to spend freetime without our hotel selected. Tactic is like this, just keep walking as tourists and then people will surely talk to you. "I know a very cheap hotel." Easy to get a hotel. Hotel was pretty clean but was cold, colder than outside, and dark with just only one bare light bulb.
マラケシュ空港に到着後、タクシーに乗ってマラケシュのメディナ（旧市街地）に向かう。こっちの人はバイクによく乗っているが、驚いたのは結構色んなバイクにＹＳＰ浦安とか書いてあるから。盗難車か。それとも北朝鮮に日本のママチャリが輸出されているように、使い古されたバイクがこちらに来ているのか。フナ市場には屋台が沢山出ていて人人人で賑わっている。大道芸人や猿回し、コブラ使い、それにヘナという女性の手に模様を描く人達がいる。誰かがなにやら興味深い話をしていてそこに集まってくる人達もいる。これはおそらく観光客目的ではなくて、あきらかに現地人用の娯楽のようだった。みんな真剣に老人の話に聞き入っている。ゆっくりする暇もなくホテル探しへ。といってもホテルは旧市街の安宿を探そうとうろうろしていれば、基本的に客引きが話しかけてくるので、その人達に注意深くついて行くという方法でなんとかなる。若干の値段交渉をして意外とあっさりと決まった。小綺麗だが、部屋の内部が外部よりも気温が低いという劣悪環境の部屋だった。それに電球１つで暗い。

I haven't talked about the origin of this journey. My friend T-kun was the first one to ask me to bring forward this nice idea of journey, wasn't from me. And i answer his invitation absent-mindedly. Hence i am not the organizer of this journey. I was really irresponsible about this trip, because I landed here without knowing what currency they use, what language they speak, climate, and any sense of geography about Morocco. So, I relied on T-kun's instinct and clairvoyance.
言い忘れたが、この旅行は基本的に僕が持ち出したわけではなく、一緒に旅をしているＴ君の誘いで僕が「あー、いいよ」とカラ返事をしたために始まった。だから基本的にＴ君オーガナイズの旅行である。無責任な事に自分はモロッコの地理感覚、使われている言語、通貨はなんなのかなど何も知らずに上陸していた。という訳で旅行ではＴ君の事前準備と、危険予測、そして千里眼的な才能が遺憾なく発揮されていた。

He, T-kun studies political science in a master's program in London and he is promising politician in the future, i believe. He asserts "Well, people from Developed countries should benefit native peolple who live in Developing countries directly through tourism industry. " He says so but what he do is "oh--!! it's expensive...", "ok,ok good bye...(we pretend to go back and visit other shops)" and discount, discount until it reaches at prime cost. So, it is obvious that this is "international donation" called "enforced collection". But for this, i could save lots of money. my role was very easy when he negotiate with salesman. Just stand there and say "expensive" quietly... So the journey started...
彼は政治学を専攻する修士学生、将来有望な人間だ。「やっぱ、先進国に住む人が観光産業を通して直接的に発展途上国にすむ現地人の懐を潤わせる事が重要ですよね。国際機関はあてにならないっす」と言う彼は、お構いなく「オーイッツ、エクスペンシブ」「オッケイ、オッケイグッバイ（もういい、帰るの振り）。。。」といってすべての商品を原価に近い値までに値下げさせる。これはもはや、国際援助という名の取り立てである。まあでもそのお陰で僕の所持金はかなりセーブされた。そういう値段交渉している時の僕の役割は、いたって簡単。ただぼそぼそと無表情に「エクスペンシブ（高い。。。）」とささやいていれば良いのだ。どんどん値が下がっていく。で、これはそんなＴ君との旅行である。

We had dinner at the centre of Fna. Ok, which food stall we should take? What we choose was the one very dirty and was not for tourist, it was obvious. We stand next to the food stall checking the menu, but no reaction from that stall, that means this is indigenous one, not for tourists. So we decided to eat that one. Anyway, it was sheep or gout,,, and all the meat was chopped into chunk and boiled thoroughly in a big pan. The seasoning is very simple, just some salt and spices i guess. the meat was very delicious. T-kun ordered another dish and this was similar to the one i ate but it included everything. Every part of sheep or gout or whatever... for example... teeth... It included really every part of the animal...
夕食は、フナ市場の屋台で。さて色んな屋台があるがどの屋台にするか。どの屋台も観光客を目的とした観光客用の屋台だったが、僕達の選んだのは明らかにこれ現地人が食べるやつだろうという屋台だった。その屋台のそばで２，３分メニューを見ていたが一切客引きなし。勇気をだしてこのやばい所で食ってみようと決心した。メニューは見たが読めない。それに２，３種しかない。座ってこれって指さして注文した。取りあえず何か、羊だろうか、山羊だろうか、の肉がぶつ切りにされてどでかい鍋で煮えくり返っている。味付けは塩と香辛料のみで、その肉煮込みをパンと一緒にたべる。うまかった。ただＴ君はもう１皿、怪しげなプレートを頼んで食べていた。少しもらったがこれもおいしかった。ただぶつ切りにされているだけだから、変な物が混ざっている。入れ歯かと思ったが、羊か山羊の歯だった。歯は念のため２人とも食べなかった。本当に羊か、山羊の全てが入っている煮込み料理だった。
