I found an article in BD which tells you about the result of the competition to decide who is going to design new Serpentine Gallery. I think I can refer to the detail now as this fact is now being exposed to public. As the article describes, our office and the Zaha's office were the probably the two who were competing in the very end. The result was suspended for while but finally it was declared that Zaha is the one. Well, she is strong at this moment. Even we were collaborating with Damien Hirst, it was impossible. No other name could defeat her name now. Mmm, our idea was also good though.
BD、建築系の紙面に載っていた記事をみて再びがっくし。この記事はもう公にされたから公言してもいいと思われる。新しいサーペンターンギャラリーのコンペティションがあって、僕のいる事務所とザハの事務所との一騎打ちだった。しばらくその結果発表が延期されたりしていたが、結果ザハに軍配があがった。ザハとやりあったら、やはり名前で負けるな。ダミアン・ハースト＋僕らのオフィスというコラボでも無理だったな。今現在の彼女のネームバリューは相当に高い。我々の案結構良かったのに残念である。
